Dear South Boston Artists,
The South Boston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 11th Annual “South Boston
Street Festival” will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Over the past ten years, the festival
has grown significantly and attracts well over 10,000 residents and visitors. Our goal is to bring long
time residents, new comers and visitors into the neighborhood to promote ongoing patronage of the
local businesses and community based organizations.
This year's festival will again feature “The Best of South Boston”. More than 100 local businesses,
restaurants, vendors, artists and community organizations will fill East Broadway between I. and L St.
from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for a fun filled day of family entertainment. Live musical acts and performances
will take place on two stages to provide festivalgoer with entertainment throughout the day.
South Boston based Artists will have two options for participation.

Option 1: Group participation as an active member of The South Boston Arts Association.
Art will be displayed in a “group setting” and co-ordinates by the SB Arts Association.
Fee $25.00
Option 2: Individual participation or display
For South Boston Artists requiring a larger display or will using Pop-up tents or canopies.
Fee: $ 60.00 SB Chamber member
$160.00 Artists that are not a member of the SB Chamber

Please note: artists are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, hanging systems, etc.
PLEASE NOTE the following policy of the South Boston Street Festival.
Artists are only allowed to sell art. The sale of food, beverages, jewelry or apparel, face painting,
ballon making, holding raffles or busking in any way is prohibited. Request for exemption to this rule
will be considered providing that a detailed written request is submitted for review of The Committee
prior to August 20th 2010. The decision of the Festival Committee is final. Request received after this
date will be denied.
We have included an Artist Festival Application in this packet. Applications must be received before
Friday, August 27th.
