Next BNN Neighborhood Art Gallery exhibit - "Boston Strong" - Boston based painters and photographers are invited to send an image of something Boston (people, places or things) to be considered for the April/May exhibit opportunity. No Fee. Nothing bigger than 30 x 30. Must be suitable for hanging with a wire back. For consideration send one image based on the theme and contact info to no later than March 16.

The South Boston Arts Association will sponsor a semiannual neighborhood poetry reading Saturday, October 22,, 1:30 p.m., South Boston Library, E. Broadway, South Boston. The event is free and open to the public. The poetry reading will be chaired by Dorothy Morris, local poet. You are invited to read one or two poems of your own or of a favorite poet. Refreshments will be served.

On September 22, 2016, SBAA members and Billy Higgins, Center Director dedicated the mural created at the Harry McDonough Sailing Center at Castle Island by artists: Janette Chaparro, Paul Conley, Claire Conway, Dennis Conway, Billy Frew, Dan McCole, Don Mejra, Debby O’Toole, Patti Steiner and Tom Steiner.
